Ill give you my opinion on the 2.
![]() Rit Pros: 1. great ability to do spike damage against low and medium armored foes. 2. very good at self healing 3. Spirits can be very useful as attacker and for support, especially in missions like thunderhead keep and eternal grove(where defending is the priority) 4. There weopon changing skills are quite handy to, althoguh i wouldnt make a build around them. Rit Cons: 1.There spiking ability is greatly reduced against high armored foes, so its quite annoying when you are fighting warriors etc. 2.Spirits IMO take to long to recharge and it can be a pain waiting for them to recharge. 3.Most groups dont see the point to having a ritualist in there party in Tyria. 4.I wasnt all that impressed with the ritualist elites. I play lightning spiker at the moment.I put most of my points in channeling magic and alot of points in restoration also.I played spirit lord to but its frustrating to play that I find. Assassin Pros: 1.They do alot of damage if you know how to string there attacks together. 2.Shadow stepping is a really nice way to fight. 3.Assassin for me is a very enjoyable profession to play. Assassin Cons: 1.Assassins have a low amount of armor which makes them unsuitable for taking damage. 2.Again, the elites for assassin aren't all that special. 3.Assassins in general are seen as a bad players because of the huge amount of people who play the profession as a tank. So it can take a little longer to find a party. I put my dagger mastery to 16 and good deal in shadow arts. That said, I have cleared both Cantha and Tyria with my assassin and ritualist and I did so without to many problems. ![]() |

Rit pros:
-have energy management practically in every attribute lines. -weapon spell are not removable by opponent. -big heals. -spirit range are really large. -can do just about everything. -item spell are not removable by opponent. -primary attribute increase all summoned creature's HP. -opponent can't tell what kind of ritualist you are until you use a few skill. -decent rez. Rit cons: -have practically no hex defense at all. -slow cast heal or long recharge heals. -only 1 spirit of a kind within the range. -each person can only have 1 weapon spell at a time. -not the best in everything, except spirit. -offensive spirit AI are completely unreliable. -movement are slowed while carrying item, while also lose ability of your weapon. -small skill list comparing to ch1 ch2 merged core class. -harder to get into group because they don't know what you are on first sight.
